(More customer reviews)I was so excited to get the retractable cable that has the rounded sync plug just like the newer iPhones. The sync plug is a little stiff going on and coming off, hopefully that will change with more use. Overall, the USB cable works well and does what it is suppose to. Now for why this only got 4 stars. I was really excited because my wife needed the USB cable and I thought I could use the firewire cable with the carcharger and with our desktop computer that has firewire connections. After getting the cable kit and trying the firewire cable and charger out, they didn't work. I did about 5 minutes worth of research to find out that newer iPhone and iPod products aren't compatible with charging and syncing over firewire. If I still had my original iPhone or an iPod G4 or earlier, this would work great. But since I don't, I am going to give the charger and cable to someone who will. Not a big loss for me because the USB cable alone was the same price as this kit. I just wish someone else would have commented on this or that the description would be more specific to let iPhone 3G/4G users know that the firewire won't work with their phones.
