Unlike many of the other iPod accesories flooding the market, Griffin's products are obviously high quality; you can tell from handling them and use affirms this. The Tuneflex holds the Nano firmly in place next to the head unit. It sounds fine with my Sony cassette adapter, and will sound much better when hooked directly to the CD changer input of my deck.
The audio out is down at the base, so it's relatively easy to run your wire behind the dash to rear inputs or switchers for you head unit, or up the flexy shaft to your cassette deck (with adapter, obviously) or front panel aux input. The output is variable, to match whatever the input of whatever you're running it into.
The only other thing I could ask for would be an on/off switch for cars with an always-on cigarette lighter. This oversight should make it four stars, but I'm tying to counteract the one-star review given by the other reviewer.
BTW: Ma'am, this is not intended for headphone use, the audio port at the base is designed for what I've described above; everyone knows not to use headphones in the car. I thought it was quite clear from Griffin's site that this wouldn't work with the iTrip Nano, but works with the iTrip Dock, and I wasn't even looking for an iTrip, because radio is a sub-standard way to listen to music, as far as audio quality (although it looks like it's really easy to just plug and go with the Tuneflex and iTrip Dock).
