(More customer reviews)This device charges the shuffle while you are playing it (a feature that I believe exists only for the older rectangular shuffle). However, the charger emits a static noise that makes listening unpleasant. (My husband opened it up and wired in a capacitor that got rid of the noise. Somebody ought to tell the manufacturer to do this.) Thus, I only can recommend this product to those who will charge the shuffle while driving and unplug it when listening.
