(More customer reviews)This is a nice cable to connect your Iphone/ smartphone or mp3 player to any AUX in port.
I use this to connect my Iphone to my car and it works great.
PROS:
1. 4 feet long with braided cable. The braided cable means less tangling and feels sturdy with less change of fraying the cord.
2. Will fit an Iphone with a case. As in the picture, there is a smaller diameter rubber head on one end which is perfect for plastic cases. Other cables I bought would only work once I took the case off.
3. No static or hissing. This has been a problem with other cables I have.Cons:
None, really. Bottom line:
Well made cable with braided cord which means less tangling and more durability.
Thoughtful design means you can use it even with any case you may have on your phone or mp3 player.
Would highly recommend!

(More customer reviews)I ordered this product in '09 from EForCity and enjoyed it for the 2 years that followed. Recently, I was with a friend, who purchased a new car and needed a male-to-male 3.5mm audio connector to connect his MP3 player to his new ride. He was planning on going to BestBuy to spend $19.99 on one, that did not extend or retract. I quickly stopped him and insisted that he take mine, it would only cost me less than $3 to replace, it would be my pleasure. Never turn down a chance to give someone something they will use daily.
So we went through with it, he is now enjoying my old cable, I went home and pulled up my old order pages and placed a new order for the same product.
HOWEVER, through a lack of attention, I bought the "same" product from a different seller, importer520. The product I received is nearly identical aesthetically, but it terms of value, this new cable is garbage to me. It does not hold or lock at any expendable distance. I have written them requesting reimbursement.
QUICK SUMMERY:
This is a useful product sold by too many different sellers. The seller "EForCity" sells good quality cables that work as advertised. I have purchased their products in different departments before. My one experience with "Importer520" would warn me against them for the future.

3.5MM Black Auxiliary Cable Cord for iPod/iPhone/Zune/Car Stereo/MP3 Review

Since there is no bend protection behind the connectors, the sharp bend quickly broke the connection inside and it stopped working all-together. Also, the retractor stopped catching, causing the cord to whip back in randomly. Although the price was very cheap, unless you want to buy a handful a year, spend a little more money and save yourself a headache.

AUX Audio Cable 3.5MM White Jack For iPod/MP3/Zune/Car Audio Review

(More customer reviews)An aux cable is a total must if you have an ipod and a compatible car stereo. My friends all had regular cables that were always in the way or getting tangled.
This cable is very convenient because it is only as long as you need it to be. At first I was worried that it might not stay the length that I chose (since the cord is retractable) but the ipod is enough weight to keep the cord extended.
Unlike other aux cables, this cord is only about as thick as standard headphone cords. This hasn't presented a problem for me yet.
The only issue that I have had with it is that it is so small that I have almost lost it a few times in my car. Now it has a special spot that it stays when not in use.
UPDATE: Sometimes I have trouble getting the end to my ipod connected all the way, so it just takes an extra second to make sure that you're fully connected (or else you're only getting one speaker, so to say).
