I just purchased this Griffin Technology USB to Dock Cable, thinking its being for the 4th generation iPod Touch meant it would also work on iPhones newer than the 3GS.
However, the Griffin Technology Web site product listing does not list it as being compatible with either the iPhone4 or iPad.
Also, this is only a 3 foot (0.9 meter) cord, not the 10 foot one I was expecting. (That's a different and more expensive Griffin Technology cable I recently saw at an Apple Store.) Further, this cable costs 99 cents more that getting the official Apple cable of the same length (Apple MA591G/A Dock Connector to USB Charge Cable5V DCUSB) from either Amazon or an Apple Store.
From what little I could see without opening the box before returning it for credit, both ends of this cable appear sturdy, as does the cable between them. All are black in color, as opposed to the usual white of Apple's own cables.
