(More customer reviews)I just got an iPAD (YEA!) and found to my dismay that I can only charge it from the wall adapter (unless ofcourse you have a MAC.... and I dont). I found this product purely by chance on a blackberry forum and found that it can charge an iPAD from any PC USB port. Sure enough it charges my iPAD from my Acer computer and the cable included with the iPAD does not.
Other additional goodies about this product is that it charges even when the Acer PC is in standby saving me the trouble of having the PC on (saves me $$ in electricity which is always good). It also charges my sons iPOD faster than the Apple cable does.
Throw into the mix that it can charge my blackberry 9700 and my Nokia E72 and we have a winner.
This seems like such a no-brainer product but it seems to be a first in the market. Love it!

(More customer reviews)I like to watch movies on my iPod Touch on long flights, so after looking into a number of dedicated iPod battery solutions that cost $75 or more, I found this nifty solution for a fraction of the cost. Since I wasn't sure how much extra juice I would need for video playback for up to ten hours, I picked up three of these when they were on sale for $15, figuring that would be enough to do the job.
I ran the fully charged iPod with one of these batteries connected from the outset (as opposed to waiting for the iPod to drain and then recharge it later), and, surprisingly, made it through an entire long haul flight from L.A. to Tokyo with only one battery. In fact, there was still plenty of charge left on the iPod when I landed, so the other two batteries turned out to be unnecessary. Since these Lithium-Ion batteries are so lightweight, it didn't matter anyway -- I see no downside to a little overkill when it comes to reserve power. The only minor gripe I have is that it's easy to accidentally hit the ON/OFF switch when stuffing these into my bag, which seems to allow them to discharge more rapidly over time. A little care when packing should prevent this.
This product is an example of a simple, elegant solution that's also very low cost compared with dedicated recharging products. I'd recommend investing in a couple of these to anyone who depends on portable devices that can be charged via USB.

Maxell CD-330 CD-to-Cassette Audio Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)I use this adaptor to connect either a 5th gen iPod or iAudio U2 to my wife's BMW 5-series. The 528i has a cassette in the front and CD changer in the trunk. The soud quality from this Maxell is as good as it gets for tape adaptors. It will never be as good as using a dedicated line-out on the source plater to line-in RCA jacks on a good headunit (which I do in my car). However, those cars without any line-in connections on the amp/headunit, the next best thing is a tape adaptor. I've tried a few tape adaptors and this one has some of the lowest signal noise and virtually no mechanical clicking. It also boasts a high signal-to-noise ratio when compared to other models out there. It is also compatable with cassette players with a picky auto-switch feature.
Those of you with this unit (or any tape adaptor) and an MP3 player; I HIGHLY suggest you invest in a dedicated line-out adaptor (through the dock connector on recent iPods). This will give you much better sound quality than going through the headphone jack. It will also alleviate the need to volume match the output on the mp3 player to that of the volume level on the car system.
A word to the wise: As for the "An electronics fan" user who posted his awful review of this adaptor...ignore that review. I highly doubt any real electronics fan would keep blown speakers in his/her car. I also have trouble taking audio quality advice from someone who clearly doesn't care or understand proper audio staging/imaging, bass reproduction, EQ setup or the quality of his speakers. The fact that his speakers buzz with this tape unit shows the person a)needs new speakers, b)is outputting via a poor CD/MP3 player, c)isn't volume matching the signal or using a dedicated line-out, d)knows very little about audio.

(More customer reviews)Stumbled across this in a Costco, had no idea that it actually existed. The case says "iPod," but things that work with iPods frequently work with iPhones...
I used the phone to search online to find any reference to this thing working with the iPhone, and found absolutely nothing. I checked the store's return policy and chanced it.
Success.
If you plug it into your phone while you're listening to the iPod portion of your phone, it will think you've docked it and try to route the audio through the plug.
It will tell you "This product is not designed to work with the iPhone" or some such message asking you if you want to go to airplane mode. If you click no, the phone displays the "I'm charging" battery and begins to fill.
All of this on a product that isn't even officially supported. I'm sure it will work just as well with my iPod, which is supported.
One star taken away for the unfortunate glitch of not working with rechargable batteries.
