Item was received very quickly, service was great, sound quality when used was not, got what I paid for as unit was not expensive, already threw it in trash as sound quality plugging my ipod into it was not acceptable.

CAR STEREO CASSETTE ADAPTER FOR IPOD/MP3/CD PLAYER Review

CAR STEREO CASSETTE ADAPTER FOR IPOD/MP3/CD PLAYER
Average Reviews:

I bought this unit because I needed to hook up my MP3 player to my car stereo. It plays music from the IPod, but the problem is that when you put it in the cassette deck, right away it starts making noise like it's trying to rewind the cassette. The noise doesn't stop and it's so loud that even when the radio cranked up all the way, you can still hear awful screeching noise. I found one at Menards (home improvement store) for $10 made by Phillips and it works just fine.

DICE i-Mazda-R2 Mazda iPod Adapter w/Aux Input + Text Display Review

DICE i-Mazda-R2 Mazda iPod Adapter w/Aux Input + Text Display
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this item hoping to solve the "Ipod problem" new 2006-2008 Mazda MX5's have... that problem being that the "factory" Ipod adapter is a monstrous debacle. Having first tried the factory adapter with horrible results I tried this DICE adapter.
Out of the box after install the unit would "work" (if you can call it that) sitting in my driveway with the engine off. As soon as the engine was started the unit would scramble and shut down. I never could get it to work with the engine running. Aside from that huge problem the controls are a complete mystery. There are no instructions for every Mazda radio, only for one (the 3 I believe) and the buttons shown in the instructions definitely do NOT do the same things on the MX5 radio. I could never get the DICE adapter to do much of anything other than display weird characters.
I tried to get customer support from DICE both online and on the phone. Both avenues resulted in me being pretty much ignored (they never responded to my online "trouble ticket" and I only got their "out of office" message when calling them on the phone). Even now, weeks later after I returned this item they STILL have not responded to me either online or by phone.
This product is not a "clean" device in that it is something someone reverse engineered to try to make something work somewhere it shouldn't. The result is an adapter that, if it HAD worked, would have been cryptic to operate and very clunky to navigate and use. I'm almost relieved that it outright did not work in my MX5 because I could easily see myself getting very upset trying to use this item on a daily basis. I have since replaced my entire factory non-Bose head unit with a new Pioneer model that had built in Ipod control. The new Pioneer head unit is a good example of how Ipod integrated controls SHOULD work... responsive, fast to navigate, intuitive, the complete Ipod info displayed on the head unit and full range control from playlists to artists and albums.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: If you want Ipod integration with your factory NC 2006-2008 Mazda MX5 non-Bose head unit, REPLACE YOUR HEAD UNIT with something that does Ipod integration RIGHT. Don't try to cheap out and do this backdoor hack route. It will be nothing but trouble just like the factory Ipod adapter. You just spent $20K+ on a high performance roadster, don't cheap out on the radio!
I also want to say this bad experience was in no way the fault of Pacific Stereo, the Amazon seller who sold me the unit. They were very professional and offered a full refund on the item. I would order from them again in a heartbeat... but I won't be ordering another DICE product. Ever.

Bargaincell Cassette Player Adapter for iPods and MP3 Players Review

Bargaincell Cassette Player Adapter for iPods and MP3 Players
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For those of us with older cars that don't come equiped with an iPod dock, this is the next best thing. I read reviews of iPod FM adapters that broadcast the music on the iPod to an FM station on your car radio. Every review I read for these products - which cost $70-$90 complained of poor reliability and the difficulty of finding a spot on the FM wavelength to receive the signal as on drove around the country.
This gadget has a plug that goes into the earphone jack, and a casette tape that goes in your tape deck. The iPod's music goes through your car's stereo system which is awesome if you have a good system in your car.
This is inexpensive, simple to use, and pretty reliable.
When using this for the first time, I had a moment of panic, because "this side up" on the tape meant putting the end with the line to the earphone jack in the tape deck; this of course did not fit. I then noticed a groove in the top of the casette. I was able to get the line into the groove and run across the top of the casette so it fit in the tape deck and came out to attach to the earphone jack. This wasn't explained in the instructions for the adapter and might frustrate someone unfamiliar with the adaptors. So now you know!

NEW CAR CASSETTE FOR IPOD ZUNE MP3 CD TAPE DECK ADAPTOR Review

NEW CAR CASSETTE FOR IPOD ZUNE MP3 CD TAPE DECK ADAPTOR
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I own a Microsoft Zune, and I have used a tape adaptor for it in the past with very good sound quality. Howevever, it was a Panasonic from a local store and was about three times as much as this one. Of course, the Panasonic was about 3 times better also. This adaptor had a lot of static in the background of the music. It reminded me a lot of the quality you get with an FM transmitter. I will not purchase another one w/o a name brand associated with it.

Car Audio Adapter For Shuffle Nano Video Touch Ipod iPhone 3G 3GS Apple iPod Sony MP3 Zune CD To Cassette Car Tape Deck Review

Car Audio Adapter For Shuffle Nano Video Touch Ipod iPhone 3G 3GS Apple iPod Sony MP3 Zune CD To Cassette Car Tape Deck
Average Reviews:

I purchased this product hoping that I would be getting a good deal (as one of the reviewers stated), but (as one of the other reviewers stated) you get what you pay for. This adapter is one of the worst products I have ever used in my life. The item description uses many top-notch brand names and product names to increase its visibility and appeal. However, the maker of the product is a low-end, non-recognizable company called "Merkury", and is packaged with a "Jimmy Johnson" endorsement and "Lowe's" logo on it. Notice that the first of the product images has been photoshopped to omit these details. Additionally, the shipping packaging was so cheap, that it looks like someone bought these at a local store that was trying to dump them at a low price.
In addition to the "false advertising", the quality of sound it produces in the car is simply awful, even though the sound system in my car has produced quite good sound with other cassette adapters. The music comes out with a discomforting high-end screeching, while the lower frequencies do not come out at all. I bought two of these, hoping to use one in each of my cars, and both of them are equally awful. Do NOT waste your money or time on this product. Do NOT believe the two five-star reviews given for this product. There is no way that this product could ever be anything close to a 5-star product.

Scosche Control Adapter for iPod Review

Scosche Control Adapter for iPod
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After having problems with Scosche's original tapLINE adapter, I figured I would try this one (tapLINE II) in hopes that it might be of better quality. Sadly, this one is just as bad. After verifying with Scosche directly that it was compatible with the new iPod Nano, I ordered this adapter for use at the gym and running like many others do. Unfortunately, the unit starting having problems about a week or two after I started using it. There seems to be some sort of loose connection either in the cheap flimsy wiring or actual control itself, which causes all sorts of problems as you can imagine. If someone can recommend a decent alternative to the Scosche tapLINE ones, I'd love to hear about it. The Belkin one seems to be just as bad. I know Logitech's Ultimate Ears product line has one which I may try next.

Sony XA120IP iPOD Connector Review

Sony XA120IP iPOD Connector
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Seem like Sony has fixed most of the problems and bugs on the previous XA-110IP. I added this XA-120IP to my Sony CDX-F5700 radio and it works perfectly. I do not see any problems that reported on the XA-110IP. It keeps track and resumes to the last song when you turn power off/on. It also charges the ipod battery while it playing the music.
Only inconvenience thing I found is once plugged-in, the iPod screen will be disable and the radio display only one line of text. It's difficult to search through the album and playlist with only one line of text on the radio screen, unless you remember with what on your iPod.
I tried to plug-in the iPhone but it didn't work. However, it charged the iPhone battery.
Overall, I'm happy with it (for the price and the new features added to my old system). Only recommend for add-on to the existing radio. If you are looking to buy a new radio, you should buy an ipod ready radio (something like CDX-GT820IP) instead this adapter.

Car Cassette Adapter For MP3,iPod,XM,CD,MD,Sirius Review

Car Cassette Adapter For MP3,iPod,XM,CD,MD,Sirius
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What I wanted was to use an FM transmitter to pipe my iPod and my Sirius radio. Unfortunately I live in a big city (Phoenix, AZ) and in my route to work the radio stations change just enough that I cannot find any FM stations to transmit on without interference. I have a 2002 Porsche Boxster S and for whatever reason, Porsche put a tape deck in that model stereo. I bought this tape adapter and presto no more FM transmitter! I had to make the modification mentioned in a review for "Coby CA-747 Dual Position CD/MD/MP3 Cassette Adapter" to bypass the automatic tape flip feature. (It seems to be fairly common for people to have to do this with tape adapters.) The Porsche unit has a door that flips open and closed to access the tape deck. This door must be closed for the unit to play. I had to carefully feed the tape adapter cord through the face plate in a place where it did not pinch it upon closing the door. This turns out to be the middle top of the face plate.
This tape adapter unit works like a charm. I've only had it for a week but I already love it. One thing I noticed in using a tape adapter with the ipod is that the sound quality improves if I only turn the ipod volume up to 50% and use the stereo volume for the rest of the sound. I plug this adapter unit directly into the iPod. I don't notice any static or distortion now that I balanced the iPod volume.

MP3/CD Player Cassette Adapter - Connect Any 3.5mm Jack Audio Equipment to Car Stereo via Tape Deck Review

MP3/CD Player Cassette Adapter - Connect Any 3.5mm Jack Audio Equipment to Car Stereo via Tape Deck
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been hunting for more cassette tapes to play in my 11 year old car and lamenting the fact that I have a huge cd collection that I can't enjoy as I drive 100 miles each way to see my sweetheart on the weekends. So, do I spend a bunch of money to upgrade my stereo in my old car? Do I trade the otherwise sound car in because I don't have a cd player in it? This little device has been wonderful and I now enjoy some of my neglected and forgotten cds on my drives. I thought, for this price I am taking a risk as nothing of value could cost this little, but I took a chance and I have been very pleased. A little bonus, it shipped quickly as well.

GROM iPod iPhone Adapter for Toyota Lexus Scion 03 up Review

GROM iPod iPhone Adapter for Toyota Lexus Scion 03 up
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought a 2005 Prius earlier this year, and needed a way to connect my iPod touch to the car stereo. After reading a number of reviews on PriusChat.com and other websites, I decided to get the GROM unit. I studied installation instructions carefully before doing it, and it was tricky. I had to remove the glove compartments, then the cover for the vents next to the glove compartments. After that I had to unscrew the big wire harness and move it aside. This is kind of scary for someone who's never worked with car electrical components before. Then I had to plug in the GROM wire to the CD Changer of the stereo. That was by far the hardest thing to do... it took me a good 30 minutes to maneuver my hand and the plug behind the stereo to plug it in. Eventually, though, it snapped into place. Then I tested the unit and it worked great. Drilled a hole in the box under the CD player for the wire and put everything back together and I was good to go.
The unit was not without it's hiccups, though. Sometimes the car stereo wouldn't recognize it and it wouldn't work. Powering off the car and then powering it back on again seems to fix this glitch. Also, sometimes it doesn't play the right playlist, but it's not a major problem. I discovered that the iPod needs to be in "iPod mode" and not running an app for it to work properly. Also, I turn the car stereo off when I turn the car off, because if I leave my iPod in the car for a few minutes while I'm in a store, sometimes I'll come out to find that the iPod has kept playing while the car was off. When my iPod was upgraded to iOS4, the "playlist" feature stopped working and the iPod kept claiming it wouldn't work with the GROM unit by saying "This Accessory is Not Supported by iPod". It would still play and charge the iPod, but selecting the CD changer buttons on the car stereo would cause the unit to hang. When iOS 4.1 came out, this problem was fortunately fixed.
One thing I do have to say is that GROM's tech support is great. They respond to questions quickly, and didn't hesitate to send me a new unit when mine wasn't working correctly, and a new wire when the iPod dock connector was acting flaky. Overall I'm happy with the unit, and it makes my iPod sound great.

Sirius SNYSC1 Interface for Sony Review

Sirius SNYSC1 Interface for Sony
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had Sirius for years now and I have enjoyed the programming. My Sirius Sportster 4 die about a year ago and I have been using the iPhone to stream via blue tooth to the radio. Sirius appears they were not going to come out with any new, good ones, radios I figured I would get this so I can tuck it under the dash.
My main issue with the Sirius SNYSC1 Interface for Sony is that I have to pair this with the Sirius SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner. I don't see any valid engineering reason why they can't combine these two units into one unit. Yeah, people will claim they have one universal tuner and an interface module for the various radio systems, but I know they could have done some great engineering and combined the tuner and interface module into one unit. Having to mount two units under the dash is a pain.
In the end it is nice to have my dash free of visible cables and antenna wiring, but this could have been so much cleaner if Sirius combined these two units.

PAC IC-JVC - iPod to car audio interface cable - Apple Dock connector (M) Review

PAC IC-JVC - iPod to car audio interface cable - Apple Dock connector (M)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use this cable with my KD-HDR1 and 30GB iPod Video, and I can attest to the noise factor. It's not as noticeable when you are listening to songs that have a good volume level, but if you're listening to classical or other songs that have low gain, you'll hear the static and noise similar to that of an external CD changer. I know it doesn't help that the cord plugs in to the CD changer port, but it would be nice to have an amplifier between the iPod and head unit for this cable.
The volume is controlled by the head unit, which in my case meant almost doubling the volume just to hear the music. The song selection controls are handled by the iPod, which seems like it would be easier than controlling it by the head unit (and it is, to me).
This is definitely a cheaper alternative to the box adapter that lets your head unit control the iPod, though it is nice that this also has a built-in charger. It works well for the price.

So after the reviews and searching online, I came across this. Like everyone else, I didn't want to pay $40 for the dealer one. I went and ordered from x-pert-s out of Canada. I was really excited when I got it and tried it out immediately in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata. Well, it did not work like the others at all. I have a 5th Gen iPod which seems to be the oldest version it will use. It would not work on the screen and though it played music, I had no control over anything via the car console or my iPod. I was totally put off by spending the cash and nothing to show.
I did try it with my wife's iPhone 3G and it would not come on the screen (said "Connected" only), but was able to control it from the phone itself. Much more than I could do with my iPod.
I was able to get a cord from my dealer and it worked better than this ever did. Honestly, not sure what type of iPod/iPhones the others used, but for a 5th Gen iPod, it was a loss of cash.
